RH8 with ping6 and traceroute6

Now, I install RH8 on my notebook and set up ipv6 packet. My problem is that I can use both traceroute6 www.6bone.net and tracepath6 www.6bone.net except that my ping6 didn't work .
I can ping6 ::1 loop back to myself but can't connect to other hosts though traceroute and tracepath can.
These are what command i use
ping6 ::1 This command works
ping6 www.6bone.net this does not work
so I try make up interface
ping6 -I eth0 www.6bone.net And it still does not work.
while
traceroute6 www.6bone.net
and tracepath www.6bone.net
work.
Anybody please help.
