When I use my network between XP and W98 evrything is OK, but if I try to connect XP with Linux, both side pinging fail.
Linux: Host unreacheable
XP:request timeout.
I used ifcongig add eth0 -net 192.168.0.1 and i's well configured, but when I write "route add -net 192.168.0.0" I receive the message
SIOCADDRTX:Invalid argument
It was an hardware problem.
My connectio was a poor 10baset2 connection for 2 PC, directly connected with two 50ohm terminators : unstable. I tried with a simplt crossover rj-45 cable and the ping pings.
