RedHat 9 on an Inspiron 5150

just got a Dell Inspiron 5150, and loaded up RH9. couldn't get a network card to come up though. has anyone had success with RH9 on that system, and what network card did you use?

It appears that the ethernet controller is broadcom 4400 (b44). Not included in all kernels. Try to load this module. If not then roll a new kernel. has a few entries on this laptop. Here is one:

thanks a lot man. appreciate the speedy reply. now let's see if i can get the USB floppy to work. linux is always an adventure
