Lightbulb RedHat 7.2 and Lan card problem

I have installed redhat 7.2 , reason being i want to run Kylix with it .. i have a LinkSys lan card and so far have had no luck getting
it to run with red hat

I run command insmod tulip .. ( since this is tulip based)
and it runs no problem

i am connected to a netgear router , and into a cable modem
i cant find any internet config program in either KDE or GNOME

so thus far have been using the shell to try to get it working

in the hardware browser it shows the lan card correctly
but i cannot get a gateway into the router or cable modem

I also need a way to load my soundblaster live driver (emu10k1)
and have it boot automatically since both this and the lan
card were not correctly probed on install.

thanks for your help ..

Have you tried sndconfig for the soundcard, I run similar cards which are detected correctly thru this.

What is the output of route -n, if it is 0.0.0.0 then you will need to manually set it from a cli route add default gw x.x.x.x

ps - At worst, you may need to recompile your kernel for soundblaster live support
