Problem using DSL connecttoin with Fedora 8

Hi!

Im a new Linux user. I want to setup a DSL connection using SHIRO modem on my system. I want to set it mantual dialing. Although it configures it during Installation but as i tried to check it has started giving an Exception which is not properly named. Plz help me resolving this problem...

You need to give more info.
What have you done, are there errormessages, do you see something in the logfiles, hardwareinfo....

what do you mean by mantual dialing ? post the output of ifconfig -a your router address, does your cpe device contains dns ?
