DSL Problem After Fedora Install

I recently replaced Red Hat 9 with Fedora. Fedora looks great. The only problem I'm having is that I can't get on the Internet.

On boot up, I get the [FAILED] message "Bringing up interface ppp0: ./ifup configuration for ppp0 not found". This might be the key, but I don't know what this means.

I set up xDSL after installation. Network Device Control shows "Active" for my device "ppp0", and my xDSL box seems to be functioning normally.

However, Mozilla won't pull up any web sites. FTP and Telnet aren't functioning either.

I checked the firewall. This doesn't seem to be the problem, as ppp0 is allowed.

Thanks for your help.

Michael

I had the same problem and I think it is a bug with the Fedora firewall and this is what I did

Connection problem

Try that and hopefully it helps. After that, I installed firestarter as my firewall
