Hi All,

i have installed ubuntu 10.04 LTS on dell inspiron 1545 laptop. i have placed proxy setting for my wired connection within, System->Preferences->Network Proxy.The wired connection does not run after the proxy is set even though these setting run on windows 7. The command ifconfig returns :-

i have made the same changes to the same version of ubuntu (10.04) and it was working fine earlier.
Please tell how to resolve this.
