On network but not connected to internet.

I'm using Fedora Core 3. I have a Netgear WG311v2 PCI wireless network card. I can ping both the router and the other computer connected to my network with a response. But when I try to ping a website it tells me it is 'unreachable.' And when I have a browser open, it tells me I dont have permission. Any suggestions? Thanks.

have you defined routers ip address in default getway. if there is a proxy server you have to define proxy ip address in your browser.

I have set the default as the router's IP. I haven't defined a proxy in the browser. Will that make a difference when I try to ping a website in the terminal? Oh, and thanks for the response.
