This is my first post in the forum, from Windows, and I hope to start sending messages from Linux soon :-)
The problem is that I am not able to connect to the internet through ethernet card.
Well, I am new to linux and so I decided to use an older version, that is redhat 7.2. After installation, I gave 'neat' command for configuring my LAN card. There was nothing on the Devices tab. I could find eth0 on the next tab and configured the IP, subnet and gateway for that. But still I am not able to connect to the net. When I type 'ifconfig' on the root prompt, I get 'l0' and its details, but there is no eth0.

Is there other settings which I need to do. Please guide me as I am desparate to see how these web pages look in linux... :-))

If you don't see eth0, it's because the driver hasn't been loaded

google the name of your card and add linux to the keyword, look
for the name of the module to load... once that's done
we can work better from there...
