Arrow networking goes down

Hi all,
I'm having a problem with networking on our Linux box. It seems to go down fairly often, with the only clue being a message like the following:
Apr 3 09:43:38 MACHINE_NAME named[1558]: lame server resolving 'bj.premore.net' (in
'premore.NET'?): 216.110.36.83#53

It's not always the same server that it's resolving, is there some configuration change I can make in named? Any ideas for other places I could look for clues (this is from /var/log/messages). Thanks.

Is it going down at a certain time every time. Like could this be a problem with it trying to get a new IP address from a dhcp server.

Possibly, though unlikely.
This machine is the NAT/firewall for our network, and it's external ip only needs to be renewed rarely.
It doesn't seem to have a specific time it goes down, so I'm not sure if it's related to any scheduled service.

What do you mean when you say 'goes down'? Does it hard lock/crash or does one of the services stop working? If it is -which ones? 'lame server' shouldn't break named...
