network printer


i have an hp lj4l connected to my network via a tcp network server, this gets an IP address automatically from my DHCP (a router), i need to add an IP port for linux to be able to communicate with the printer, any idea how i can do that please ?

netword server from extended systems, it is called ExtendNet

The port is is likely to use is the jetdirect port 9001.

If you telnet to the machine you should be able to set a static IP address.
