I have two Linux servers. I have one server that is my main web hosting server and the other is just linux. I would like to make a mirror of my main server to the second server over the network. Is there a good site to help with this or could someone walk me through the steps.
This will require rsyncd running on the remotehost. Alternatively, you could use rsync over ssh with -e ssh, and then you'd want to set up public keys for ssh.

But my needs are a bit different. i want the whole system to be mirrored to the remote machne. so that is the my first machine get's crashed then i can make the other one online. i want to copy the whole thing including the booting image and the system files. is there such kind of a application.

You should look at SystemImager for a complete server solution.
