Using partimage with network backup

It's me again.I have asked soooo many questions. This time the problem is about partimage.

I have been planning to backup my linux server for a long time.Once I found partimage,I feel confident that I can backup it up.However,my linux server has a hard disk with 3.4G capacity. So,I have to back it up via network while I have another desktop with about 30GB hard disk capacity left. After I read all of the documentation,I began to back up.However, when all the things have been done, and I clicked next after I inputed the username and password,it said "Network is unreachable."I have tried many times and the result is the same.Do you guys have any suggestions about this???

P.S.Basically,I know how to mount a NFS drive to my linux server. However, when I use the boot up disk of partimage in the linux's server CDROM drive,it doesn't mount my NFS drive. So,how do I back my linux server up when NFS and network backup cannot be done?

Please give me some guidelines if you have a clue on this problem.

Look on website freshmeat.net for Timo's Rescue CD.
Burn that image, it includes networking modules on it.

I have a NE2000 NIC card.
I bring my NIC card up by doing the following:

#>modprobe ne io=0x240 irq=10

#>ifconfig eth0 10.2.2.3 netmask 255.255.255.0 up

check it by entering > ifconfig

now try to ping your backup server. it should be up.

if you want to NFS

#>cd /mnt
#>mkdir partimage
#>mount 10.2.2.4:/home/partimage /mnt/partimage

this will mount a NFS from server 10.2.2.4 to client 10.2.2.3

the server will have to have NFS up and modify the
/etc/exports file to indicate which directory you'll use

Of course your settings will differ depending what kind
of card you have and what network settings, but
I've been backing up with partimage using a NFS server.
