Join mint to windows active directory 2008


hello my friend
I want to join linux mint 17.2 to domain. I done this stages :

after I type "sudo net ads join -U Administrator" and type password show this message :
Failed to join domain: failed to lookup DC info for domain 'MSC-INTERNET.LOCAL' over rpc: Logon failure
please help me.

the link you posted gives me "Untrusted connection" and in this case i just believe firefox and won't click. looks broken anyway.

the "net" command has something to do with samba/cifs.

so you are trying to set up a remote connection from some client to some server? is either of them a windows machine, or why do you have to use samba/cifs?

My OS is linux mint 17.2 and AD is windows server 2008. I read this instructions on this site : www.linux-answered.com
