index.html file for apache2 from var/www/html for debian

Can someone who uses apache2 in debian enter nano /var/www/html/index.html in terminal,copy the entire thing and post it here.

I accidentally deleted the index.html file and now localhost is giving error.

Uh, it's going to be whatever index.html is the site's main page. Hardly anyone has the default initial, and the default file is just some nonsense saying "Hey, this works!"

Just create a text file with "Hello, world" in it. It's not fully marked up html, but it'll show up.
