i try to send msg to window user in lan by fedora


i use window command net send to send msg to any terminal in network as

ex-net send "pc name" "msg"

how can i send msg similarly when i use fedora and other use window

Do you have Samba installed? If so have a look at man smbclient and search for the -M switch. It might be what you're looking for.

yes i had installe sambha server what i next to do ?

i login by root and check my smb working properly is sure ,
bcoz i use smb://pcname to access share folder of peer node
but if i want to send msg to any body then how to?
