I am able to connect to his network ONLY at my main entrance, those in my house couldn't receive the signal.
The maintenance will drag on for a few days, hopefully not more then 1-2 week.
How can I share my laptop connection and pipe it to my WRT54G router to re-broadcast so that my other computers inside the house can connect to?

The way I did ( I have same router
as you have ... ) I spoofed MAC addresss of router ( just see which MAC address router has and assign it to your computer NIC ---this is in case your provider locked up ip to only on mac address ).
Once you do that, use an 30 $ box, iptables, an old switch and set up your own router/gateway. This way is more difficult but, more interesting
Second option is connect your laptop to WRT54G, open browser and enter ip address of router

username=admin, password = admin....
http://192.168.1.1 ( in browser of your computer conected to WRT54G )
once you are logged to it, then in wireless options , you will see to set up mac addresses of your machines which should be allowe to connect ( this is funny, read above, MAC addresses are changeable )...
So my choice is option one, as better for control
Hope this helps
