FTP problems with LS on new users

I'm currently running Redhat 8.0 with the 2.4.18-14 kernel. I'm having problems with the ls command on ftp in that it shows that the directory information was sent, but it doesn't display it on the screen for any users that I create now. It was working before, and nothing has changed since then as far as i can tell. Here is an example of what it does:

ftp> ls
227 Entering Passive Mode (127,0,0,1,110,154)
150 Here comes the directory listing.
226 Directory send OK.

This is the output after I ftp'd into my own computer using localhost. The thing is, if I use root or my original user(the one I created during installation) it displays everything properly.

I've been searching through every .conf file that I can find with any relation to ftp, but I haven't been able to figure this out yet.

Any help would be much appreciated; Thanks!

Which ftp server are you using ?
Do you have netfilter (iptables) rules ?

I am currently running VSFTPD, my software firewall is off, my hosts.allow is set to ALL:ALL. IPTABLES is on but I have no /etc/sysconfig/iptables files

As far as I can tell, everything is configured the way I need it; so that you can only ftp in from the LAN and not WAN.
