Angry Ftp

I am running RH 7.3 with 2.4.18.10 kernel and I have installed the wu-ftpd 2.6.1-18. After configuration I am able to connect BUT when I try to login including as an anonymous/guest user I get "incorrect login" message. All users are active and passwds are correct so does anybody have a clue of what might be going on here?

Thanks in advance,

Miguel (Australia)

check /var/log/secure and /var/log/messages.

Also, did you install the anonftp package?

CD-2:anonftp-4.0-9.i386.rpm

FTP not working

Thanks for the suggestions bor4linux!

I have checked /var/log/secure and ../messages and both files are empty! I have also installed anonftp and is still not allowing any login... any more suggestions?

Do you know anything about PAM and how it works for security checks and/or passwd files?

Thanks ever so much!
