Dynamic gateways

hey can anyone show me how to set up a server with a dynamic gateways.. say for example i have 2 internet providers at xxx.xxx.xxx.1 and xxx.xxx.xxx.8. how can i set up my router to connect to .8 if .1 is down and .1 if .8 is down.. and if both servers are up, the router will connect to .1..
