Dynamic gateways


hey can anyone show me how to set up a dynamic gateways... say for example i have interner access on xxx.xxx.xxx.1 and xxx.xxx.xxx.8. i want my router to connect to .8 if ever .1 is down and .1 if ever .8 is down... and if both servers are up, my router will connect to .1

i'd really appreciate the help... thanks...
