Connection refused on new vncserver


I've read the "FM" and see nothing special that I need to do to get vnc to accept connections. I:

1) run apt-get install vnc4server
2) run vncpasswd
3) run vncserver

This is a new installation of edgy.

That is a good how-to for setting up VNC on linux. What you put is a little broad, but this gets down to the nitty gritty details. I had VNC up and running within 5 minutes.

I'm a newbie to linux and have tried to install VNC4Server and what I believe to be a proper viewer, but I can't find any way to connect to my host even though it says the server is running........can someone help me?

Running VNC4Server on Elive 4.0
