I have not setup my printer yet, I forgot about it til' you mentioned it. lol but any way
I knew some ppl must have done something to my machine's IP so I changed the MAC address of my NIC (eth0) and got a new IP from DHCP and bingo the Internet started to work again!
Somehow they can put your NIC in a blacklist and although you still get an IP address but you cannot get out of the local domain (LAN)!
I think they lookup your mac address that is why I changed mine.
But if anyone else wants to do this I suggest taking the command line route because the GUI network manager does not work!!(or if it works it does not take immediate effect).never use both at the same time.... not a good idea cuz it messes things up.
