config file for allowing IPs

I know there is a config file on Linux that you can allow only certain IPs to connect, just do not know the file or syntax.

Help is appreciated!

There should be two files:
/etc/hosts.allow (allow hosts/ip)
/etc/hosts.deny (deny access from hosts/ip)
