follow up to allowing msn file transfers in linux firewall

how come i still can't make msn file transfers work even if i add a rule in my forward chain like so: ipchains -A forward -p tcp -d 0/0 6891:6890 -j ACCEPT? i really need this feature so as to make file transfers easier behind my client anyone?
