Can't write on Samba drive

I shared a folder on my fiancee's XP box. The folder is read/write and owned by a user with the same name and password as my user on my Linux box. I can read files, but I can't write. How do I give myself permission to write to my folder?

What is your security setting in your samba set up? It may be how samba is authenticating that is a problem. The obvious is to double check the security settings on your XP box but sounds like you have that figured out.

I got it figured out. I did not give my user permission to write, so I had to write as root. I probably should have tried that before posting. Sorry.
