Basic Linux Network

Hello All,

I've got 2 computers that dual boot winxp and suse 10.2...for now I would just like to set up a network between the 2 machines when they are both running linux (I will do the whole linux to windows network after I get this working). I'd just like to be able to transfer files between the 2 machines. I know my way around linux, I just don't know much about networking with linux =)

Thanks.

BTW - my 2 machines are hooked into a basic hardware router which then connects to my cable modem.

I'd try a simple NFS server setup:

This should be a good tutorial.
