Mint 18.1, MATE 64-bit. Minimise button does not send window to panel


At least, nothing appears in the panel as far as I can see. I can scroll through the open windows by holding alt-tab but I don't want to. I don't think I did anything to cause this change (though I do have a cat), and I can't figure out how to change it back. I'm sure it's something simple and I'm not phrasing it properly. Thank you.
