Thanks andrewthomas: i desconnected the 10gb hdd and changed the jumper from the second pins to the first pins closest to the tape connector and it booted right up smoothly,it's one less hardware to confuse the cpu, like that <Grub rescue> trouble i had in Xubuntu,i bet you that the 2 hdd toghether were the cause of the grub thing!
