Hi!
I have one Acer TravelMate 6592 with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 XT HyperMemory running an LinuxMint 6 (Ubuntu 8.10 based system).
I use this system with a dual head configuration: I have the laptop monitor and an external one. The two screens are independent i.e. I can't move windows from one of then to the other. But this isn't the problem, because —for example— these way I can change the working areas independently —with Xinerama I couldn't.
But in the external monitor I have a lot of problems. For example:
- If I have gnome-do running It doesn't work —i.e. it doesn't appears when I press Super + Space— if the focus are in the external monitor.
- If I have Firefox running in the laptop monitor and I try to load a link in the external one —i.e. a program try to call Firefox for a new window or tab to load an URL— it tells me that Firefox is already running but it doesn't work [reply, respond... I do not know the suitable word in English].
- The gnome-panel applets doesn't work fine in the external monitor. For example, the notification area doesn't show anything.
Someone could help me??
This is my xorg.conf:
