Dual head mode radeon in XFree 4.4

Does anyone know how to get this working? I'm using a radeon 9800 pro and I've got the latest snapshot of dri which supposedly supports dual head mode even though it does not yet support 3d acceleration for the card. But I'd still like to have access to my other monitor so if anyone knows how to do it that'd be great.. if there is a single command I need or something to plugin to the XF86Config file or whatever.. I've been searching but couldn't find how to enable Dual Head mode (as it's done in the fglrx driver if you have xfree 4.3).

Thanks for any help.
