Problems to synch Palm Pilot III xe via USB
Hello...
I have problem to synch my old palm via USB.
Device = Palm III xe
Distro = Ubuntu 5.10
HW = Laptop Siemens-fujitsu, pretty new.
When connecting the PALM via cradle to the PC-USB
The /dev/ttyUSB0 and ttyUSB1 are automaticaly created.
Investigation og the /var/log/messages file shows that the initialization wen fine. All is found.
The /sbin/lsmod shows usbserial and other stuff correct.
I have even added the palm into udev, so the udev create /dev/pilot
when connected.
Not to the synch. When pressing Synch on plam nothing happen. I se no message in /var/log/messages
When using dplsh -p /dev/ttyUSB0 nothing
When using dplsh -p /dev/ttyUSB1 nothing
When using dplsh -p /dev/pilot nothing
The palm was working OK on Fedora C3 for nearly a year until I installed the Ubuntu now.
Any help how to proceed ?
/PiTom
