I'm trying to get my Netgear FA411 16-bit pcmcia lan card working on a Toshiba Satellite Pro with a ToPIC95 cardbus bridge. I installed Fedora Core 2 on it.

I had to get the card sort of working by manually doing the "ifconfig eth1 addr up" and then creating the ethernet device using network device control.
But whenever I rebooted after creating the device and save config, the device eth1 will not be found. The error message on boot up says:

pcnet_cs device eth1 does not seem to be present, delaying initialization

Does anybody encountered this problem? Any help is appreciated!

I have the same problem and am wondering if you have a perminent fix yet?
