i gave up for a while

I installed linux 9 redhat on my laptop and I had trouble with my atheros wireless network. I could not make it to work and I download it the driver for it, but I did not get enough help on step by step on how to install the drive.
see guys I not a pro, just a newbee and i need it baby step.

hope next version of redhat comes with a lot of support on wireless technology.

Don't give up yet. The whole wireless sector has really been in flux with alot of the major manufacturers switching to completely different chipsets. Unfortunately many of the vendors aren't forthcoming with the chip specifications, so the drivers are being re-written kind of "blindly". But give it some time and hopefully things will catch up. With the huge market shift towards 802.11x, wireless cards and drivers will be pretty standard hardware soon.
