Dell has laptops with Linux preinstalled and I read an article they even sold one with no OS. Whatever you do, if your financial status allows you, don't get a dirt rotgut no name PC or laptop. I know people who bought them from Wal-Mart and Sears and they said they were no good. I don't think Wal-Mart even carries them any longer due to heavy complaints. Believe me, if Wal-Mart won't carry them, they have to be no good. This is not at all saying that all PC's preinstalled with Linux are no good. Just be careful. You can buy a nice Compaq or Lenovo at a reasonable price and install whatever Linux distro you want. I don't like Windows either.
