Unhappy Boot failure/mouse mistake

I'm at an impasse installing Redhat fedora on my IBM Thinkpad. Everything went fine to the point of agreeing to the license. At that point, I found that I had no mouse function, suggesting to me that I had misconfigured the mouse at installation. Therefore, I've not yet gotten to the first boot.

How do I fix this.

At this point, when I try to boot, I wind up with a message:

"modprobe: Can't locate module block major -135
Socket status 300000006
Yenta IRQ list 06b8 PCI irq11"

I can't do anything at that point.

I'm a beginning. I'll need this explained in baby steps.

I reinstalled the O/S and paid more attention to the mouse configuration that I selected. In other words, at that point it was easier to start over than it was to figure out the fix - particularly because this was my first effort at linux.

Sorry. That may not be much help.
