Mistake I made with Mouse

I went into my MCC trying to change the number of clicks from 2 to 1 on my mouse and clicked on the wrong type of mouse and when I went to the test page which allows you to set your buttons and center wheel my pointer cursor for mouse on the screen went haywire, I could not hit cancel, so I did a softboot thinking this would save me and it screwed me up and wont allow me to boot to my desktop and it knocks me into the black localhost login screen?

Why?

I do not understand and is there anything I can do to fix this?

I am using Mandriva LE 05

Thanks,

d-1

Just login on the command line. Real command line, not a terminal. In case you have problems you can go to a command line by pressing CTRL + ALT + F3

Change user to root and type "mcc".

This will open text-mode Mandrake Control Center. You can use it now to reconfigure your mouse or whatever you were configuring at that time.

How to change mouse to single click

For those of you wanting to ever change your mouse to open files & folders from 2 clicks to 1, here's what you can do.

Go to menu (Star) >Configuration >KDE > Peripherals > Mouse > then uncheck bullseye from 2 clicks to single click > finish by selecting "OK"
