as a result, i bought an os installation DVD of MDK10.1 but i got the same result again " it is not able to find my CD driver and keep asking for floppy driver. anyway i decided to try another os but i do not know why i choose MANDRAKE again but this time "10.2" .

in the installation i had no probelm and evvery thing was fine but once i finised and wanted to boot from hd it hangs up and i never login to MDK 1.2 every time i had to plug out the power supply to restart the laptop to login to windows.

now, i have the same problem with SUSE 9.3 pro. i don't know what is the problem ??

lastly, linux live cd does not work too , it start then hangs up in dark screen and i can do nothing to restart except holding the off botton till it turns off.

Try Debian / Gentoo. They worked for me! (4151NLCi)

Gentoo is not a very easy install as you may know.

Debian worked pretty mich out of the box. you might have to do some tweaking to get the wireless running
