ALSA Driver, arguments to snd_pcm_hardware

Hi,
I am writing my first ALSA sound driver,

I have a problem providing rate value in struct snd_pcm_hardware, for my sound card.

My sound card is interfaced to the M/B through SSI interface.
As per my Sound card manual he says it works at 128, 256, 512 ... 16384Kb/Sec.

The default range values are very less.

How do I provide range values, period min, and max??

The nominal bandwidth of the SSI is not necessarily related to the data rate of the PCM stream.

This depends on the capabilities of the DMA controller, the SSI hardware and the codec.

You'd better ask on the alsa-devel list, and it would be helpful to provide information about your hardware.
