which linux on hp nx7010 notebook?


Hello everyone:
I have a new hp nx7010 notebook, I want use linux/freeBSD on it.
Any one can give one some suggestion about which linux/Freebsd
distribution or version can work fine on the notebook?

Just about any Linux distribution. If you want easy to setup, you can use Mandrake or SUSE. Do some research on what your notebook computer has and write down any steps to take to install any special modules (drivers) or programs. You can use Sandra from SiSoftware if you still have Windows installed. It will tell you almost everything in the computer, so you can install Linux a little easier.

Try Fedora.

I have tried slack9, suse92 and fc2 on nx7010... and fc2 has worked best. Only downside is wireless... waiting fc3.
