USB palm sync fedora core 1

I can't get my palm to sync in fedora. I have been able to sync just fine with Xandros and mandrake, but now I can't anymore! I read the official fedora companion, followed the instructions, didn't work. I made sure the visor module was loaded, it was. I symlinked the /dev/usb/ttyUSB0 to /dev/pilot, and also tried /dev/ttyUSB0. that used to work fine in every other distro, so frustating!

Same thing happened to me

RIght now im using kernel 2.6.4, and I've built the system from scratch using lfs ( . I've had my clie working on other systems I've built, but ever since I built one on the 2.6 kernel it stopped working. Im almost positive its a kernel configuration item that was moved (like everything else was moved) but I dont know which item and I dont know where it was moved to I have the usb serial option set, as well as the visor/clie item set... *sigh*
