us robotics serial problems
I have a us robotics 56k serial modem. It has lost the dialing sounds, both in win98 and in linux. Is there a way to set every thing back to default in it? The volume control doesnt work, as well as volume control from computer-win98 or redhat. This modem also seems to be conecting slower than it should. 28k most of the time, and at the moment I am hooked up at 31k with a 33k serial usrobotics that has sound and seems to be working properly. thanks John
