Unable to install driver for Creative PD1120 webcam on Redhat9
Hi guys, I have just started using linux. So excuse me if my problem is rather primitive. I am facing a problem installing the driver for my webcam on my redhat9 machine.
Well the webcam is Creative Nx Ultra (pd1120) and on searching I found the appropiate driver here:
hxxp://mxhaard.free.fr/download.html
After downloading and unzipping the tarball I tried running make but there was 1 error. I checked for dependencies in the INSTALL document and it asked to check whether the v4L and usb stuff was working fine.
on typing
[root@BERNARD root]# modprobe videodev
[root@BERNARD root]# lsmod

So I guess videodev is fine.
I am using Redhat9 and my kernel is 2.2.20-8
[root@BERNARD root]# uname -a

I really cant figure out why my driver is not compiling correctly.
Any kind souls that can help me?
