Unhappy System Halted !!! with a USB device...

I have installed RedHat 9 on my Win 2000 BOX as a dual boot method. I got an infrared device for a NOKIA phone. Which is always plugged with Win 2000. http://www.1ststop4mobiles.co.uk/ma6...a-suites.shtml

But when boot up my BOX with RedHat, it’s giving me System Halted !!! Error !
So every time when I boot from ReHat, I must unplug the device.

Is there some USB installation or configuration for this or Is there any supported patches for it ?

Thank you for reading this !

I have a similiar problem where I try to sync my palm to linux through USB, everything locks up and the CAPSLOCK light flashes(?) requiring me to do a hard reset.
