still no sound


hi.
well, i tried.

lspci gives me:

again - cd's play fine from xmms. nothing else plays. not even startup/err sounds.

the soundcard is detected when i do a sndconfig - but is not able to play a test sound.

and no, its not the volume.

anybody has any idea?

pls lemme know - thnx.

CD audio will always play because the sound is coming directly from a device like a CD player or any hard connection like a cable.
