Question How to make a sound on Realtec ALC-650 card sound on a Shuttle ST62K?

Hi,
I am new on linux and I have install a Mandrake 10.0 on my Shuttle. It works well except that I have not any sounds.

I have download then linux_v25.zip on ftp://210.51.181.211/pc/ac97/alc650/linux_v25.zip

Then I have done what was written, that means

tar xfvj alcsound.tar.bz2
Complied source code
a. ./configure
b. make
c. make install
d. ./snddevices

They also said 'Turn on sound support (soundcore module, default turn on)' but I don't know how to do that?

When I go on the Mandrake control center and click on the Start button on the alsa line I have this error message:

Alsa version none: FATAL: errore inserting snd (/lib/modules/2.6.3-7mdksmp/kernel/sound/acore/snd.ko):invalid module format (intel8x0) '0) [ OK ]

Any suggestion will be nice.
