Red hat and my vid card


Hello I am kinda new to linux and im having a problem with red hat 9.0 noticeing my video drivers so after anaconda starts when im installing my monitor just shuts of and goes into standby mode and I have to reboot so I figured i needed the latest driver for my geforce fx 5600now my question is how do i make a driver diskete for it the update is a 14mb file and there is no alternate dl available so how would i acomplish this i cant get red hat to install at all due to needing this driver is there a boot command i can use to get it installed and running and then dl this huge update? any help is apreciated this has been bugging me for 3 hrs now thx again to all who can help.

No, install in text mode by typing 'linux text' when the installation menu screen is displayed.

Since this is a new install, why are you installed an EOL'd version of Linux??? As a suggestion try (keeping in the Red Hat family) Fedora Core 4 or CentOS-4 (both as free as RHL9 but supported and many, many bug fixes and other improvements).

EOL == End of Life
