problem in speakers and headphone

i have installed sabayon linux

speakers are permanently connected to cabin on back side
i use headphone rarely by putting the lead in the front part of cabin
but if the lead of head phone is not connected the speakers do not work
when lead of headphone is connected, both speaker and headphone work well

but this is not a problem in windows
what should i do

Sounds like your system has the headphone automute reversed. I'd need to know what version of alsa-driver you are running, what your system info is, and your audio configuration. Fortunately, all this info is gathered by this script. Please post the link it generates, and I can look into this for you.
