problem in soundcard detection for intel 82915

I have Red hat enterprise linux4 ws installed on my system pIV 2.66 of intel(r) 82915G/Gv/910GL.My soundcard is not detected by linux although, it is detected by windows_xp 0n my system. the output of /sbin/lspci & that of /sbin/modprobe is like this :

Sound card not detected
The easiest way I know to fix this problem is to download the alsa-driver rpms for RH Enterprise 4 from http://atrpms.net. While the redhat kernel has the required modules, I have found a number of motherboards that don't work with the redhat modules, but all work with the atrpms modules.

You will need to get driver rpm that matches your kernel exactly. All required dependencies rpms will be on the site as well.

Install the rpm(s), reboot, and try the sound again.
