Nvidia Fx5200 not working in Mandrake 10.1

I had no problems with my nvidia card in mandrake 10. I just upgraded to 10.1 yesterday and glxgears is slow as balls. Almost like the problem i had with my old ATI cards. Don't tell me that Nvidia is going ATI's route now. If you need anymore info just let me know. And thanks

Try reinstalling the driver. Normally the kernel is changed during an update and the NVIDIA module stops working. Try urpme NVIDIA and then reinstall...

another mistake is not checking to see if the nvidia module is loading. run lsmod, if its not there then do modprobe nvidia. double check your XFree86 or Xorg.confg file to make sure its loading nvidia and not nv.
